Stopped this morning to pick up a pastry for a journey and came away with a tasty cheese and onion granary roll that was about £1.80 which I ate on the beach for breakfast. We also had a cinnamon bun and a delicious walnut and Stilton scone - absolutely yummy. Would so love to have a bakers like this at home. The crusty rolls looked good too. Good quality at great prices. I was there early - usually see a Q later.- Food

They don’t make them like this anymore. We spent a few days in Whitstable and stumbled across this little gem of a proper bakers on the high street. Friendly greeting from the staff, so much delicious choice from fresh loafs of bread, sausage rolls, cakes, sweet treats and freshly filled rolls. Get there early as it’s very popular and they sell out quickly. You know it’s good when there’s a queue outside the shop.

Great old school bakery. The bread is just as good as Grain and Hearth, and it's ones of the few places you can pick up good, cheap, tasty local sandwiches. Not enough places like this around anymore.
Warm and friendly service and absolutely yummy granary sourdough bread! One of the best I've ever eaten! ☺️

I've lived in Whitstable since 1987! I've used this bakery since then. Kids who are now in 30s had gingerbread every day on way home from Whitstable Juniors.BEST THERE IS

Love this local bakery, especially the Apple Doughnut and red nose reindeer😊
Since being a child, this has continued to be my favourite bakery! Nostalgic cakes and the most addictive cheese filled rolls! I will always pop in here if i am passing through!

The best doughnuts in the known universe. One of the best things (along with Manston air museum) about East Kent. Don't buy one. £4.50 for four.

Proper bakery that's authentic, traditional and reasonably priced. I like that the women serving tally up the total of your order in pencil on the back of a paper bag, but still accept card payments. The quality of the bread and pastries is fantastic - in particular the Fransisco Sourdough which is to die for - and there's clear love and passion oozing from this business. No dogs ❌
Not a visit to Whitstable without a visit to Hubbard’s! The line is out the door most days, but it’s well worth it. Fresh loaves of bread, rolls, local Kentish recipes and everything is pretty AND tasty. The bakers who work the counter are very kind and good at maths (lol, they do all bill addition in their head)!
Great bakery, great staff, great bread, great cakes. Just Great!!
Fantastic bakery with an amazing assortment of individual sweet and savoury goodies. My children can't wait to get here after school...... and neither can I! The Bath Buns are my favourite. Christmas special cakes and biscuits are out now too
Excellent traditional bakery! Absolutely love their harvester loaf and chocolate eclairs... makes a wonderful change from the usual rubbish you find in supermarkets. I’m a regular here now 🙂
